In this business-critical role, it will be your job to make sure everything we say and do is relevant, engaging and original – ensuring that our excellent track record of service delivery is noticed. As an experienced Bid Writer with a great track record, you’ll be able to turn your hand to any tender or prospective bid that comes your way. Naturally, writing will be the bread and butter of your role, but you’ll also be involved in the whole tender/business development process.

Job Description:

  • Reporting to the CEO and Strategic Partnerships Manager
  • Horizon scan potential opportunities for funding
  • Evaluate new funding opportunities in order to ensure they are viable and in-line with the HIVE Portsmouth’s aims, objectives and priorities
  • Ensure relevant data/information is collated in order to provide robust responses against the bid/grant criteria
  • Produce updates and reports for the HIVE Board with clear progress against targets
  • Build a library of responses and appendices to aid future applications
  • Maintain a log of bid/grant conditions to ensure the HIVE meets its funding obligations
  • Identify appropriate stakeholders that need to be informed of applications and support the process of buy-in/letters to strengthen them
  • Exchange information with other VCSE umbrella groups on a regional and national basis
