This unique opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious professional to join our team here at Solent Infant School!
We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic English and EYFS or KS1 (dependent on experience) phase leader who will join our senior leadership team in order to further develop a specific phase as well as English across Early Years and Key Stage One. The successful candidate will have a clear vision for the teaching and learning of English skills across the whole curriculum and demonstrate an ability to use research-based evidence to inform and reflect upon practice.
The successful candidate will also:
 Have an excellent understanding of the importance of the development of early reading and writing.

 Have a secure knowledge of the teaching and learning of phonics and strategies to encourage rich language acquisition.  Be keen to develop and grow leadership skills through the role.  Be an inspirational and creative teacher with the ability to motivate all children to achieve their best.

 Have high aspirations for all children rooted in the belief that every child has the potential to succeed.

 Have energy, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.

 Be committed to collaborative working, leading and motivating a team.

 Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work as part of a supportive and enthusiastic team.
