BENEFITS ASSISTANT – FS76
£20,092 – £21,748 per annum
We are seeking a person with excellent customer service skills to come and work in the busy environment of the Housing Benefit Section. Applicants must have knowledge and/or experience of Welfare benefits.
You will deal with the public by telephone, in writing and face to face in matters relating to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support. You must be able to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurately spoken English. You will need to possess good numeracy skills and be able to understand and interpret complex information. You must be experienced in using a PC, and should be able to demonstrate your ability to deal with people who are often angry or upset and confused.
Hours of work are 37 per week in accordance with the Council’s flexible working Policy.
