Salary: Basic (starts at depending on level of skill ) Basic £17,500 per annum (FTE) with weekend and bank holiday enhancements

Job Type: Permanent

Job Hours: Full Time. Shifts either 6am – 2/3pm or 8/9am to 6pm. Must be available to cover every day of the week – but will be on a shift pattern

Job Hours/Type Notes: All candidates must have a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure

Who are we?

St Ronans provides personal and nursing care to help residents with any practical tasks they cannot manage themselves, or may need encouragement to complete independently. We specialise in care for the elderly, palliative care and offer reablement and convalescence as well.

What is the job?

St Ronans chefs are at the heart of our home. As part of this small team, you will work closely with your colleagues in the kitchen and in the home more widely to serve delicious, healthy and well-presented meals that meet residents’ dietary/health requirements and needs.

You will bring a positive and open approach to St Ronans; having residents at the heart of your thinking, learning together, striving for excellence and looking for ways to serve the very best, whatever our residents’ changing needs or requests. You will be open to change and will work with others to adapt according changing internal and external demands in the kitchen.

All our meals are cooked from scratch on the premises and must be cooked to all health and safety standards and the Home’s own policies and procedures. Cleanliness must be maintained at all times and you will be responsible for cleaning and pot-washing along with the rest of the team in the home.
