Based on 30 hours per week –  £15,012- £15,313 

Part-time position 30 hours per week cleaning to be carried out between the hours of 16:30-22:30 working Monday – Friday. Based at Civic Offices, Portsmouth.

Your New Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dedicated team. You will be involved in carrying out various cleaning tasks using both manual and mechanical equipment and tools. You will showcase flexibility in your work and at times may be required to work at other sites.  You will be responsible for reporting any repairs and issues you may come across to the Estate Services Team Leader.  You will take reasonable care to promote the health and safety of yourself and others ensuring all Health and Safety and CoSHH rules are followed at all times.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

You need to:

  1. Be able to work alone or as a member of a team in a cleaning role.
  2. Have cleaning experience – this is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.
  1. Be physically fit in order to be able to lift, carry and operate cleaning equipment and use a trolley to carry out all necessary cleaning tasks on site.
  1. Be able to assess and prioritise cleaning tasks – attention to detail is essential.
  2. Have good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Be able to work within a demanding and at times challenging environment and be adaptable to change.
  4. Have a good understanding of Health & Safety practices, CoSHH regulations and the importance of preventing cross-contamination.
  5. Be able to assess risks to personal and others’ safety and demonstrate safe methods of work when cleaning.
  6. Be trustworthy, responsible and an excellent timekeeper.
  7. Be able to drive (although this is not essential)
