Highbury Primary School & Nursery is at the heart of a thriving and diverse local community, which is proud to be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust. We want children from Highbury Primary School and Nursery to leave us with high aspirations and with the confidence and enthusiasm for learning.  We want an energetic, enthusiastic, committed and friendly person to join our team to support two children within our Nursery.

We are looking for someone who will work in partnership with our nursery staff to enable children to successfully engage within the setting, to secure strategies and to support their emotions.  You will have a flexible, “can do” attitude and it will be obvious you take pride in your work.  The successful candidate will need to work well within a team but also able to use their own initiative.  Previous experience with working with children with autism, social, emotional and behaviour difficulties is desirable.

Ofsted (December 2021) recognised that ‘Children get off to a strong start in Nursery. Leaders ensure that all staff prioritise developing children’s communication skills’ and in September 2019, Ofsted commented that ‘Children have the freedom to explore in a caring and nurturing space. This promotes children to find their own learning experiences. Children behave well and show kindness to one another’.

In return, you will find a rewarding role and be part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust offering added benefits and opportunities. Each of our academies has a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued.

The school is currently closed for the summer holidays. An application pack can be found by visiting the Highbury Primary School website:
