Salary: Band 6, point 9 to 13 (£19,584 to £22,981)

Terms: Permanent, Term time only

Closing Date: 4pm, Friday 7th October 2022

We are seeking to appoint two Nurture Group Leaders to lead the development of this new provision from November 2022.  These will be term-time only roles and full or part-time working will be considered.  Mayfield has a strong track record of growing and developing staff and there will be the opportunity to undertake HLTA training while at the start and to possibly progress to our Apprentice Teacher programme.

The person appointed will be someone who has a very good understanding of pupils and their needs and has experienced leading or working with pupils with different needs. The role will target an existing Primary School practitioner with the ability to act as a key leader developing a Nurture provision across the Primary Section. A good working knowledge of the ‘Nurture principles‘ and Marjorie Boxall’s classic nurture is desirable. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated, and growing, team of pastoral support and play a key role in the development of our (relatively) new provision.

For more information and to apply for this post, please complete an application form, which can be found on the Mayfield School website: Nurture Group Leader (Primary) | Mayfield School and send via email to Mrs. Lynne Hollis, PA to the Headteacher, on by 4:00pm on Friday 7th October 2022. We will be reviewing applications as they come in and reserve the right to close this process early.

Mayfield is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to criminal records bureau checks along with other relevant pre-employment checks.
