Your New Role
Our Through Care Team 2 works with Looked After Young People, Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and Care Leavers to support them through to independence or reunification to their families. This is an exciting and privileged opportunity to support children and young people in their plans for permanence and to prepare them for adulthood.
The post holder will be responsible for support young people to develop their independent living skills. This will include supporting them to access Employment, Education or Training. They will support young people emotionally and practically to move into and maintain a tenancy. They will support young people to develop /or strengthening all the skills necessary for independent living.
What you’ll need to succeed
As well as being approachable and supportive, you will be passionate about working with young people. An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to challenge appropriately and be able to sustain positive and effective relationships with young people, their families and professionals.
