Your New Role
The key priority of the role is to support the Service Manager and other staff in providing high quality service provision that meets the needs of customers, funding bodies and PCC. This position will particularly focus on our role as an apprenticeship and employability provider. To establish and maintain accurate records relating to quality, performance, staff and curriculum activity. To assist, and in some areas be responsible for, the production of annual reports, action plans and quality improvement plans. Support and manage staff as required to ensure resources are deployed and utilised to maximum effect.
You will support the Service Manager to develop and deliver an innovative, targeted and universal apprenticeship and employability provision to reflect the needs and interests of PCC, ensuring the achievement of targets and outcomes in a delivery plan that meets the required targets and objectives of the Community Learning Service. You will work within quality and Ofsted frameworks to ensure the delivery of a range of high quality programmes.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will need to demonstrate experience of apprenticeship/employability programmes organisation and delivery and have a degree or equivalent, as well as holding an appropriate teaching qualification. You will be a qualified and experienced assessor and verifier and have experience of gaining centre accreditation, managing quality assurance and delivering funded programmes connected to apprenticeships. You need to demonstrate experience in integrating functional skills into apprenticeship and employability provision, management experience with the ability to set meaningful improvement targets and good line management skills through effective use of performance management, 1:1 meetings, SMART target setting and mentoring. You will need sound knowledge of IT and the ability to embed E-learning. You need to be able to use Moodle (or another suitable E-learning portfolio platform) to store e-courses, assign work to learners, notify tutors when work is completed etc. also need to have working knowledge of the most current IT applications in use in the sector and how to optimise use of relevant IT tools for the benefit of the learners.
