Your New Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic qualified practitioner considering a new challenge within a multi professional team who value the social work role within this setting. As a valued member of A2i you will be supported to develop your abilities in assessment and identification of needs for those presenting with mental health concerns. The service will support your training and development which may include therapies and approaches.

In this role you will carry out Care Act assessments and Mental Capacity assessments. You will assess the needs of people with a range of mental health problems and complex needs, and their carers and arrange/deliver care which meets those identified needs. The post holder will work with a wide range of services and agencies including the police, housing, GPs, residential/nursing homes, domiciliary care agencies, psychiatric hospitals, substance misuse services, homeless services, CCGs, CQC and local charities.

What you’ll need to succeed

You will be a qualified and registered social worker, with substantial experience as a qualified social worker. You will have a good knowledge of Adult Social Care eligibility criteria, excellent assessment skills and previous experience of working with individuals with mental health difficulties. You will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of legislation and a full understanding of and commitment to embedding personalisation in all aspects of social care.
