The Harbour School are looking to appoint a Safeguarding Lead on a permanent full-time contract to start as soon as possible.

Hours: 37 hrs per week TTO Plus 3 (42 working weeks)
Band: I
Salary: £32,797 – £36,370 pro rata depending on experience
Actual Salary: £30,211 – £33,502
The Harbour School is a special school for learners with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health (SEMH) needs and/or medical needs.
We are seeking an experienced, well qualified and dedicated Safeguarding lead for our well-established Safeguarding Team. The role of the Safeguarding Leader is to create and maintain, along with the Pastoral Teams, a community in which pupils will feel safe, be happy and thrive.
The community will be alert to safeguarding issues and the responsibilities of all adults and pupils in the organisation are clear. The Safeguarding Leader will hold the position as the school’s DSL. They will be responsible for guiding the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) and all staff, pupils, governors and volunteers, ensuring a safe environment for all.
The post is a Senior Leadership Team position and is non-teaching. A full clean driving licence with own vehicle and flexibility to move across the city is essential for this role.
