Your New Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a good background in operational delivery across all aspects of seafront and public realm management.  This role will manage and support the delivery of safe and effective shoreline management programmes including application of national legislation to all elements of shoreline and land across the seafront from The Hard to Eastney Point.

This role will foster and support effective delivery across the whole seafront area understanding the nuances of the needs of multiple users and the seasonal variations which are needed for this very popular and diverse area for both residents and visitors alike. 

The role will be a key liaison with other seafront based organisations and business such as the East Solent Coastal Partnership on all operational matters as it continues to deliver the significant coastal defence infrastructure project across the seafront over the next few years.


What you’ll need to succeed


We are looking for a professional with significant experience of corporate delivery and development, who builds excellent and productive working relationships internally and externally and can lead a small team across diverse services.

You will need to be adept at forging strong and productive bonds with other internal services as well as engaging with external organisations as necessary. You will be a natural organiser, with drive, initiative and enthusiasm for the role, coupled with a genuine passion for making a difference to the city, supporting a responsive service that will make a real difference in delivery for both residents and visitors.
