St Jude’s CofE Primary school are looking for a dynamic, cheerful and positive person to join our school Administration Team. If you are experienced with SIMS, have a good knowledge of finance and are an exceptional team player, this could be just the role for you.
First and foremost, this role is about overseeing the school’s Management and Information Systems (SIMS), inputting data, retrieval of reports, and frequent data returns. There will be a twice annual school census to complete and weekly admissions information to process, so an understanding of school systems in general would be beneficial.
St Jude’s is a busy, two form entry school and we have historically had high mobility, in part due to our proximity to the dockyard, Naval Housing and also because of our location to the University, where parents become residents to study. As such, admissions paperwork, calls to new parents, new starter arrangements and showcasing of the school (including some school tours) and a presence at open days and new starter events is essential, as is an ability to liaise effectively with the Local Authority Admissions team.
The finance element of this post involves working closely with the Finance & Resources Manager, and further details of the finance support element of the role can be found within the attached Job Description.
It is essential that a successful candidate is willing to work effectively with the other members of the team and maintain high professional standards at all times, whilst developing trusting relationships with colleagues.
PCC & St Jude’s CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS Disclosure at Enhanced level, and any other background checks, including overseas checks will be required prior to any offer of employment.
