The Service

You will be employed by Portsmouth City Council, and work as part of Health and Care Portsmouth Transformation Team, which has a long-established partnership arrangement between Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Portsmouth City Council (PCC) to enable integration between heath and care services across the city.

Your work base will be on the CCG headquarters 4th Floor of the Civic Offices. Your working arrangements will be a mix of office and home-based working dependent on business need.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Head of Transformation – Mental Health Development, you will work with a wide range of key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services for the people of Portsmouth City. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering a number of transformation projects, working alongside adult social care, our main health providers, and voluntary and community sector providers to ensure safe and effective delivery of adult and older adult Mental Health services for residents.

You will be given opportunities to work within other service areas as projects develop and business need dictates as part of a team matrix working principle.

What you’ll need to succeed

Are you keen, motivated, and driven to make a positive difference?


Educated to degree level in relevant subject (or equivalent level qualification) or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area

Good team player who is highly motivated to make a positive difference.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and organisations being sensitive to cultural boundaries in order to develop innovative solutions

Ability to effectively co-produce service transformation with service users and carers

Excellent organisational/prioritising abilities and project management skills with demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes, adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly

Numerate with an ability to analyse data, create and use complex spreadsheets and databases including complex finance issues

Ability to analyse information and draft briefing papers and correspondence for senior management/present papers at a range of formal settings as appropriate

Ability to design and implement efficient and effective processes and procedures
