Local Government Reorganisation
Portsmouth City Council is preparing for the future through Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), which will bring together Portsmouth with the district and borough councils of Fareham, Gosport, Havant and parts of East Hampshire and Winchester district councils to create a new unitary authority.
For candidates, this means joining us at an exciting time of transformation. You may have opportunities to contribute to shaping new ways of working, influencing service design, and building a council that better meets the needs of residents across the wider area.
While roles will continue to focus on delivering excellent services, some positions may also support transition activities as we move toward the new organisation.
